There are two main types of wormholes: traversable and non-traversable. ๐ง
A traversable wormhole means you can actually go through it, like walking through a door! The other, non-traversable, is like a deep hole you canโt climb out of. They are theoretical and not suitable for traveling. ๐
The most famous traversable wormhole theorized was proposed by physicist
Kip Thorne in 1988. Thorne's design had special conditions to keep it open, like using exotic matter (which we donโt really have yet). So, if we ever find wormholes, they might be the fun ones you can use! ๐
