There are three main types of wetlands:
marshes, swamps, and bogs. Marshes are mostly filled with grasses and soft plants, like cattails and reeds. They often have shallow water and can be found near rivers and lakes. πΎ
Swamps are wetter and have lots of trees, like cypress and willows, providing shade and homes for wildlife. π³
Bogs are very cool because they are spongy and filled with peat. π±
Bogs also have unique plants like the round-leaved sundew, which catches bugs! π
Each type of wetland is crucial for different plants and animals, making every one unique!
