Tibetan history goes back over 1,300 years! 📅
In the 600s, the Tibetan Empire was established by King Songtsen Gampo, who united different tribes. The empire spread across parts of modern-day China, India, and Nepal. Later, Buddhism, a major religion, would take root in Tibet during the 8th century. 🙏
The arrival of famous teachers like Padmasambhava helped Tibet become a center for Buddhist learning. However, in the 20th century, Tibet underwent significant changes, especially in the 1950s when it became part of the
People's Republic of China. This has affected the lives and culture of Tibetans ever since.
