Supervolcanoes form when magma, molten rock from deep inside the
Earth, builds up in one spot and can't escape. ๐คฏ
Over time, pressure increases until it eventually causes a massive eruption! There are a few types of supervolcanoes:
1.
Caldera Type: This is formed when a volcano erupts and the ground collapses, creating a large basin.
2.
Shield Type: These have gentle slopes and can spread out lava over wide areas.
3.
Stratovolcanoes: These are tall and steep, but much less common as supervolcanoes. ๐
Each type has unique shapes and eruption styles!
