The Milky Way is our home spiral galaxy! π
It contains billions of stars, including the sun. Its spiral shape has around four main arms, called the Perseus,
Sagittarius, Scutum-Centaurus, and Norma arms. π
Our solar system is located in one of the smaller arms, known as the Orion Arm. The Milky Way spans about 100,000 light-years across! The galactic center is home to a supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A*, which weighs millions of times more than the sun! π
Most of the stars we see at night belong to our Milky Way galaxy!
