Scythian was a language spoken by the Scythian people, who lived in parts of Eastern Europe and Central Asia around 2,500 years ago! π
They roamed regions that include modern-day Ukraine, Russia, and
Kazakhstan. The Scythians were famous horse riders and warriors. π
Though the Scythian language is now extinct, it was part of the larger family of languages known as the Indo-Iranian languages. Sadly, only a few words and phrases have survived, found in ancient writings and inscriptions. This makes it a mystery language that helps us learn about the people and their culture!
