Samuel had a very important job: he anointed the first king of Israel, Saul! π
God told Samuel to pick a king because the
Israelites wanted one. They were tired of being ruled by judges. In a city called Gibeah, Samuel met Saul, who was tall and strong. Samuel poured oil on Saul's head, a sign of being chosen by God. πΏ
This made Saul the first king of Israel! Although it seemed exciting at first, being king wasn't easy, and Samuel still had to guide him. Samuel always believed in doing what was right! β
