In space, we have different ways to measure distances. ๐
The most common ones are kilometers, miles, light-years, and parsecs. A
light-year is how far light travels in one year, while a parsec is about 3.26 light-years. This means that parsecs are larger units than light-years! ๐
For example, if a star is 10 parsecs away, thatโs over 32 light-years away! When discussing very, very far distances, scientists prefer using parsecs because they make numbers easier to understand. ๐
Remember, measuring in space is a little different than measuring on Earth!
