Orion's Belt is made up of three bright stars: Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka. ๐
These stars form a straight
line and are easy to spot in the night sky. Alnitak is about 1,260 light-years away and is a hot blue star! Alnilam, which is 2,000 light-years away, is even bigger! ๐
Mintaka is the closest, at about 900 light-years. Together, they help us recognize Orion and find other stars! When you look for the Belt, you are actually looking at stars that are very far away from us, but they shine brightly in the sky! ๐
