Mount St. Helens is a famous volcano located in Washington State, USA. π
Itβs part of the Cascade Range, which includes many other volcanoes. This
mountain is well-known because of its explosive eruption on May 18, 1980. It erupted with great force, causing a huge ash cloud that spread across the country, and it drastically changed the landscape! The eruption was so powerful it reduced the mountainβs height by about 1,300 feet. π
Before its explosion, it was a perfectly shaped, snow-capped peak, beloved by hikers and nature lovers.
