To keep the Leaning Tower of Pisa standing tall without falling, it has undergone many restorations ๐ ๏ธ. In the late 20th century, experts worked hard on stabilization, using steel cables and
concrete, to secure the tower. Between 1990 and 2001, they carefully removed soil from underneath, allowing the tower to straighten slightly. Thanks to these efforts, the tower has stopped leaning even more and is safe! ๐
Now it is expected to last for at least another 300 years! These restoration projects show how important it is to care for our historical buildings.
