As president, Kenneth Kaunda focused on improving Zambiaβs economy. He believed in
socialism, which means everyone should share wealth equally. π°
He nationalized many industries, including copper mining, which is very important in Zambia. However, this created challenges. The world copper prices fell in the 1970s, which caused money problems for Zambia. π
Because of this, some people struggled to find jobs and get enough food. Despite these challenges, Kaunda worked hard to help his country and its people. He believed that things could improve with time and teamwork! π±
