To become an Olympian, Ian Thorpe trained very hard! πͺ
He trained for up to 30 hours a week,
swimming different strokes and perfecting his freestyle technique. Ian had a great coach named Doug Frost, who helped him improve and get ready for big competitions. π
ββοΈ Besides swimming, he did lots of strength training and conditioning to keep his body strong! Ianβs dedication showed that practice and perseverance can lead to great success! π
Just like in school, hard work pays off!
