The Gothic language started with the East and West Goths, two tribes that traveled across Europe. ๐
The East Goths settled in places like modern-day Ukraine, while the West Goths moved to Spain and Italy. The Goths used their own characters, similar to the
Greek alphabet, to write their language. โ
๏ธ Wulfila, their most famous translator, created a 27-letter alphabet to help people read and write Gothic. Unfortunately, by the 15th century, the language began to fade away because fewer people spoke it. But we still learn about it from old books and documents. ๐
