Skin has three main layers: the
epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. π¦Έ
ββοΈ The outer layer, the epidermis, is what we see; it's like the skin's shield! Underneath, the dermis contains blood vessels, nerves, and hair follicles πΏ. The third layer, subcutaneous tissue, helps keep us warm and protects our organs. Our skin also has special cells called melanocytes that produce melanin, which helps give our skin color. Fun fact: your skin is always changing! The cells in the epidermis are constantly renewing, which is why it feels fresh and new! π
