Bartering has been around for a very long time! ๐ฐ
๏ธ It started over 5,000 years ago, way back in 3000 BC, in places like Mesopotamia, which is now called Iraq. People would trade things they had, like grain or
livestock, for things they wanted. As trade grew, so did the need for better methods of exchanging goods. Some people even used salt ๐ง as money! Items like shells, spices, and valuable stones made their way into the barter scene too. While bartering was important for early societies, it also introduced some challenges that people had to solve.
