Bactrian camels usually give birth to one baby at a time, called a calf. 🍼
After a gestation period of about 13 months, the calf is born! The calf is up and walking within a few hours and can start eating plants within a
week. Bactrian camels generally live for about 40 years in captivity, while in the wild, they may live for about 20–30 years. 🕰
️ Camels are social animals, and young calves stay close to their mothers for protection and learning. They grow quickly, becoming strong and independent! 💪
