Atlantic cod can be found in cold waters from Greenland all the way down to the northeastern United States, including Maine and Massachusetts. 🌍
They like to swim in areas called "benthic zones," which are close to the ocean floor and where they can hide among the rocks and sand. Cod also live near the coasts of Europe, in countries like Norway, Iceland, and the
United Kingdom. These fish often prefer shallow waters, but they can also be found in deeper places, sometimes more than 600 feet below the surface! 🐠
