The Jutes were the first to arrive, settling in the Kent area. Then, more Angles and Saxons followed and spread across the island! By 650 AD, most of modern-day England was inhabited by the Anglo-Saxons. Here, they built villages and established kingdoms. Some of the kingdoms were called Wessex, Mercia, and Northumbria. π
